Charissa Kovin

Professional Photo Organizer

Hi!  I’m Charissa! - (the "Ch" is pronounced "Sh", like in "champagne").  I’ve been organizing photos and creating photo albums and slideshows for as long as I can remember. I discovered early on that photos tell a story, and when I shared those stories with family and friends, it created deeper connections and stronger relationships. I also realized that having a disorganized photo library made it too time consuming to tell my stories, making it less likely that future generations would see those memories. I coupled my passion for preserving memories, and a deep desire to have ALL THE THINGS organized, to launch Forget Me Not Photos© as a way to help others share their stories.  I became a Certified Photo Organizer through The Photo Managers - a community of professionals who are passionate about helping their clients manage their photo collections.

The forget-me-not flower is a tiny blue flower that represents "remembrance."  Giving this flower to someone means you truly love and respect them, and it’s a promise to the other person that you will always remember them.  It is also the official flower of the Alzheimer’s Society, and a gentle reminder to never forget those who have been lost to the disease. I used the flower in my logo and replaced the center of the flower with a camera lens. It is meant as a reminder to not only capture your story in photos, but to also share them with those you love.

I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin (Hook ’em!) and have lived in The Woodlands, TX with my husband for over 20 years. After a 15-year career in Human Resources, I retired to raise our three children. During that time, I volunteered extensively in our children’s school and the local community. Born with wanderlust, our summer vacations were spent traveling and exploring the world. One of my favorite things is capturing the sights and sounds of different cultures and experiences around the globe and bringing them back in the form of a photo to share with family and friends. My biggest fear is losing my most precious memories, and that is why I became a professional photo organizer.

Our Happy Clients

Forget Me Not Photos was a godsend for me. I had photos everywhere - on multiple iPhone accounts, old hard drives, flash drives and computers, and printed photos scattered in boxes. Charissa organized the thousands of photos into a chronological folder structure and removed the duplicates. She transferred old media I had (VHS tapes, film reels and DVD's) to a digital format that I can now view and enjoy. She scanned photos and even newspaper clippings that I wanted to archive.  She put my new photo collection on an online cloud based platform that is easy to use and showed me how to back it up and maintain it going forward. It is a relief to know that all of my photos and videos are in one place!

Forget Me Not Photos specializes in a unique service that I was grateful to find. Charissa provided impeccable and professional communication from the start, understood exactly what I wanted, and produced an exceptional work product that I never imagined. Charissa created a digital copy of all my hard copy photos, organized them by date and backed them up to my secured cloud platform.  She created a customized plan, focusing on what was important to me.  This is a great service, and I am so glad to have found it. Thank you Charissa! I highly recommend her services and will gladly refer others to her!
